The Strategy for Rural and Tourism Development – aiming to expand job opportunities in the Lebanese villages – designed and carried out by PRODES since 2002 was stabilized with the creation of the Institute of Management and Services (IMS) in 2009. IMS offers development, awareness and training programs for the creation and management of micro and small businesses with a main focus on tourism services.
The IMS received the WISE Award from the Qatar Foundation in 2016.
